About Parish
Jawarharnagar was one of the substations of cathedral parish of St. Xavier’s of Palayamkottai. For the spiritual Welfare of the faithful and pastoral reasons, it was bifurcated and created a new parish on 4th April 1986 Sahayamatha, to which the church has been dedicated, because the patron of the new parish. A beautiful motto with statue of Mary as perpetual help was built up during the period of Fr. Sahayadasen day by day catholic community increased it was felt that present church was not his enough, for gathering a new church was built up and blessed by Most Rev. Bishop
