About Parish

Considering the needs of the population of Kuruvikulam and having sought the advice of the present Parish Priest of Church of O.L. of Lourdes, Kalugumalai and Members of the Priests’ Council and considering the salvation of souls, I hereby bifurcate the Parish of Church of O.L. of Lourdes, Kalugumalai and erect this new Parish, the Church of St. Joseph, Kuruvikulam with the rights of a Parish, according to the Code of Canon Law Nos: 515 and 516,i.e. of a juridical personality belonging to the R.C. Diocese of Palayamkottai. St. Joseph’s Church Parish, Kuruvikulam is now constituted into a new Parish with effect from 11th of December, 2011. Rev. Arockiasamy M, O.Praem. is appointed as its first Parish Priest.
